Western Digital, the maker of MioNet software, is committed to protecting your privacy when you use the MioNet Resources.
The following Privacy Policy was prepared to inform you of the personally identifiable and non-personally identifiable information we collect about you, how that information is used, when and to whom we may disclose it, and the choices you have regarding your personally identifiable information.
This Privacy Policy is incorporated into the Terms of Use Agreement and any capitalized terms not ascribed a definition herein shall have the same meaning as such terms in the Terms of Use Agreement.
COLLECTION AND USE OF INFORMATION
WD collects information in order to develop, operate, maintain and support the MioNet Resources and to facilitate your use of the MioNet Resources.
Aggregate Information
We will automatically collect certain aggregated information regarding use of the MioNet Resources, including the number and frequency of visitors to our website and how those visitors use our website, use of our service network, the extent to which certain features are used (e.g. camera, file transport and desktop) and file types that are shared. Aggregated information is anonymous, statistical information that does not contain any personally identifiable information.

We collect personally identifiable information from you when you seek access to certain portions of the MioNet Resources, purchase products or services from us, or sign up for our service network. Third Party Service Providers
We may use an outside company to process credit cards. On the order form, a User is asked to provide contact information (e.g. name and address) and payment information (e.g. credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for order processing and verification, billing purposes, to fill customer's orders and, if the customer chooses, may be used for future promotional offers. You can choose not to receive information about additional products and services by opting-out when given the opportunity at the point we ask you for contact information. You may also choose to opt-out after the fact by following the Opt-Out instructions provided below.

We may also disclose your information to any third party vendor contracted by us in connection with the implementation, operation, maintenance, or support of the MioNet Resources (each a "Contractor"). We will obligate all of our Contractors to protect your personally identifiable information in accordance with this Privacy Policy; however we will not be liable for any breach of that obligation by the Contractor.
If you obtain the MioNet software bundled with product(s) from a third-party company, we may share some of your personally identifiable information with that company. If we share your personally identifiable information with such a company, that company's privacy policy will govern its use of your information. Presently, we bundle our software with products from the following third-party: Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V. If you have obtained the MioNet software bundled with product(s) from a third-party company, we encourage you to review the privacy policy of that company.
SECURITY
WD uses commercially reasonable physical, managerial, and technical measures to protect your personally identifiable information against unauthorized disclosures. However, these security procedures and measures are not a guarantee.
If WD learns of a security breach then we will attempt to notify you electronically so that you can take appropriate protective steps. Alternatively, we may post a notice on this site describing any breach.
THIRD-PARTY LINKS
Our website may contain hyperlinks to other sites that you may access. These other sites have their own privacy policies and you should review those policies before following those hyperlinks. We cannot control the information disclosed at these third-party web sites or how that information is used.
YOUNG CHILDREN
In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, we do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information or non-personally indentifiable information from any person under the age of 13 and no part of the MioNet Resources is directed at persons under 13. If we learn that personally identifiable information of a person under 13 years of age has been collected by us without verified parental consent, then we will take appropriate steps to delete such information.

Because the MioNet Resources are intended specifically for Users in the United States, we have established our Privacy Policy to satisfy United States regulations. Once in the United States your personally identifiable information will be handled in accordance with United States law and this Privacy Policy.
